Még napokkal a BookFest25 után is pörgök, bár a blogbejegyzésekkel még csak mostanra sikerül utolérni magam. No de máris folytatom az élménybeszámoló második részével, ahol mesélek a Secrets and Societies Fantasy Panel beszélgetésről, és az azt követő dedikálásról! Ha lemaradtatok az élménybeszámolóm elejéről, akkor az első részhez ide kattintva tudtok eljutni.
17:00 után kicsivel megtaláltam a termet, ahol voltak a panelbeszélgetések. Külön jó, hogy volt a belépőjegyemről egy screenshot a telefonomon, mert nem volt térerő... és az appot nem tudtam így megnyitni sem. Volt amúgy valahol elbújva a táskám mélyén egy nyomtatott változat is, de örülök, hogy végül nem kellett kihalásznom a rengeteg kincs és könyv mellől, amik tuti, hogy csőstül jöttek volna vele...😅
Viszonylag időben érkeztem, így a második sorban a 3. helyre tudtam leülni. Innen pont jó volt látni és hallani az írókat. :) 18:00 után picivel ékeztek meg. Elise Kova mellett ott volt még Gareth Brown és Jackson P. Brown is. Mindhárman nagyon szimpatikusak voltak, jó kis beszélgetés volt, a házigazda is frappáns kérdéseket tett fel nekik. Mivel ez belépős event volt, (£10/fő, Waterstones plus tagoknak £8.) így nem volt tömegnyomor. Hatalmas különbség! /I'm still reeling from BookFest25 days later, although I'm only just catching up with my blog posts. But I'll continue with the second part of my experience report, where I tell you about the Secrets and Societies Fantasy Panel discussion and the signing that followed! I found the room where the panel discussions were taking place a little after 5:00 PM. It's a good thing I had a screenshot of my ticket on my phone, because there was no signal... and I couldn't open the app that way either. I also had a printed version hidden somewhere deep in my bag, but I'm glad I didn't have to fish it out from among the many treasures and books that would have come with it...😅
I arrived relatively on time, so I was able to sit in the 3rd place in the second row. It was great to see and hear the writers from here. :) They stopped by after 6:00 PM. In addition to Elise Kova, Gareth Brown and Jackson P. Brown were also there. All three were very nice, it was a good conversation, and the host asked them some interesting questions. Since this was an admission event (£10/person, £8 for Waterstones Plus members), there was no crowd. What a difference!
Negyed nyolc körül megkezdődött a dedikálás, külön sorbaállás volt Elise Kovanak, a terem másik végében pedig egy asztalnál foglalt helyet Gareth Brown valamint Jackson P. Brown. /The signing began around a quarter to seven, with a separate line for Elise Kova, Gareth Brown and Jackson P. Brown sitting at a table at the other end of the room.

Jackson P. Brown is a writer from London, an anime and manga enthusiast, and the founder of Black Girl Writers — a mentoring programme for aspiring Black writers. A dedikálás flottul ment. Segítők jöttek kis post it-ekkel, előre leírták a neveinket, és nem is kellett sokat várni. Mindenki kapott egy Starcrossed Club feliratú karszalagot, és a 4 ház (Coins, Wands, Cups, Swords) valamelyikét kitűző formájában.
Elise nagyon kedves volt, aláírt minden elé rakott könyvet! *-* Márpedig volt olyan is, aki egész sorozatokat vitt magával. Én az Arcana Academy példányomat vittem dedikáltatni, meg ott az asztalon volt egy kupac A Deal with the Elf King kötete is, úgyhogy szereztem egyet belőle, és azt is aláírattattam :) £9.99 volt a könyv, amit az eseményről való távozáskor lehett kifizetni bármelyik emeleten, ahol volt még működő pénztár. (meglepődtem, hogy így működtek a dolgok, mert így simán kisétálhatott volna az ember, és senki meg sem kérdőjelezte volna. :O De azért reméljük, mindenki más is kifizette távozás előtt! :D) /The signing went smoothly. Helpers came with little post-its, wrote our names down in advance, and we didn't have to wait long. Everyone got a Starcrossed Club wristband and one of the 4 houses (Coins, Wands, Cups, Swords) in the form of a pin.
Elise was very kind; she signed every book that was placed in front of her! *-* And there were some who brought the entire series with them. I brought my copy of Arcana Academy to be signed, and there was also a stack of A Deal with the Elf King on the table, so I got one of those and had that signed too :) The book was £9.99, which could be paid for when leaving the event on any floor where there was still a working cash register. (I was surprised that things worked that way, because you could have just walked out without anyone questioning you. :O But let's hope everyone else paid before leaving! :D)
Külön erre a találkozóra vettem egy szép ruhát, ami tökéletesen illett az Arcana Academy-hez. *-*/I bought a nice dress especially for this meeting, which matched the Arcana Academy perfectly. *-*
